Rob Vareta
Physiotherapist
Rob completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Ontario Tech University in 2013, followed by a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Robert Gordon University (UK) in 2016. While studying abroad, he also played competitive ice hockey, fuelling his passion for applying sport and biomechanics to optimize movement and prevent injuries. Since then, Rob has worked with clients of all ages and activity levels, from desk workers to elite athletes, treating a wide range of injuries related to sport, recreation, and overuse. He believes mobility, strength, and control are the foundation of performance and injury prevention, and that quality movement is the best remedy.
Rob holds certifications in The McKenzie Method Part A & C with Advanced training in the Lumbar Spine and Lower Extremities, Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 1 as well as Concussion Assessment and Management. He is also certified in Meridian Acupuncture and Functional Dry needling, Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) and is a current member in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Outside of the clinic, Rob is frequently involved in team sports such as hockey and soccer, participating in obstacle races and snowboarding while also frequently camping in the backcountry of Algonquin Park. He has also volunteered for Spartan Canada to help give back to the sporting community he loves.
